Regular consumption of fresh tomatoes, carrots prevents fibroid, skin, eye diseases

It is no longer news that consumption of fruits and vegetable goes a long way in promoting health, but the fact remains that some people usually fall sick because of a lowered body immunity. Also, too much of toxin from micro-organisms in the body compromises our immunity in fighting diseases and gives room for germs invasion of tissues and organs, which, as a result exposes us to many infections and diseases.
But regular consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables would do us a lot of good in the sense that we would not be spending much money on drugs. Many diseases would be prevented by consuming fresh fruits and vegetables. Also we do not need to be told that many of our fruits and vegetables are “drugs”, but the problem with most people is that they tend to believe more in drugs than eating them. For instance, how many of us can boast of eating fresh fruits and vegetables in the last one week? We forget to realise that there are minerals, vitamins as well as some essential amino-acids that the body can only get needs from external sources. These essential “chemicals” would have to be supplemented for in our foods for good functioning of certain organs like liver, kidney, heart, etc.
One essential fruit and probably “needed natural drug” that should not be lacking in our diets is carrot. Medical experts as well as nutritionists and dietitians have always been making case for the inclusion of carrot as part of our daily food. According to a report credited to an international non-governmental organisation named Charity Sight Savers, in one of their campaigns against common eye problems a entitled: “Clear-sight campaign in America," carrot, they said, should be the delight of everybody, especially young growing children for good health and clear vision. Adults should not also joke with carrot as it contains beta-carotene, which the body highly needs to convert it into Vitamin A. Vitamin A is called the “beauty vitamin”, as it helps to keep the skin smooth and soft. It guides against many of the known skin diseases and it is also needed for the mucous membranes lining the nose, throat, and bronchial tubes. It is higly needed for good functioning of the entire digestive tract, the bladders, kidneys, as well as the pelvic organs.
Women who regularly eat carrots may not experience pelvic region disease. Carrot is also guide against menstrual and menopausal problems. Children who regularly eat carrot would experience normal growth of bones and teeth, while adults who have thick, rough skin would also benefit from carrot. And to guide against this skin defect like rough and wrinkled skin in future, carrot should be introduced to children from childhood. Carrot guides against kidney and bladder stones, which are more common in adults. It also keeps eyes bright and helps us to see well in a dim light. Children who are having vision impairment should be introduced to carrots. Young infants that cannot eat it should be given carrot juice, which can be prepared by grating the carrots to bring out the juice. A nutritionist, Dr. Bamidele Ogaga, during a public-enlightenment programme on television said that women who eat carrot regularly may not experience fibroid. Dr. Ogaga submitted that carrot, is an anti-fibroid “natural drug” because it contains beta-carotene.
He further revealed that other natural anti-fibroid drugs are beetrot, soyabeans, benny seed etc. Above all, carrot has been proved to have both nutritional and medicinal effects on sexual performance of men by boosting their libidos i.e (sexual urge). People with erectile dysfunction also stand to benefit from carrot. Nutritional values of carrot include water, protein, negligible amount of fat, carbohydrate, fibre, calcium, as well as ascorbic acid. For tomatoes, regular consumption of fresh tomatoes is also good for health. Tomatoes contain anti-cancer properties. Anybody who regularly eats fresh tomatoes might not be a candidate of skin cancer. Tomatoes contain antioxidants found to protect against diseases like hypertension, cancer, etc. It has has detoxyfying effect on the body.
Tomatoes also contain important element like potassium as well as other useful properties which keep the blood pressure low. Its regular consumption also guides against irregular heart beat. Old people, especially those experiencing joint and bone problems should create love for carrot and fresh tomatoes. The two fruits also prevent bowel disorder or discomfort.
